A1309 Road
A 6.5-mile route linking the two ends of the A10, running as Milton Road in the north and Trumpington Road in the south.
Barton Road
The A603 route south-west out of Cambridge towards the M11, passing Wolfson College and a string of sports grounds.
Bene't Street
A short historic street with the Anglo-Saxon tower of St Bene't's, the Eagle pub and the Corpus Clock nearby.
Brasley Bridge
The first bridge over the Cam upstream of Cambridge, linking Trumpington with Grantchester and rebuilt in 2015.

Chesterton Road
A north-bank road running from Chesterton Lane towards Elizabeth Way, with a run of restaurants facing Jesus Green.
Corn Exchange Street
A street beside the Corn Exchange, once known as Slaughter Lane and built over the line of the medieval King's Ditch.
Covent Garden
A short street off Mill Road, named after a market garden and home to a pub, The Six Bells.
Downing Street
A central street between Pembroke Street and St Andrew's Street, lined with University departments and museums.
East Road
A dual carriageway on the inner ring road, home to Anglia Ruskin's Cambridge campus and the round Crown Court.
Elizabeth Way
An inner ring-road route on the A1134, crossing the Cam by a concrete bridge opened in 1971.
Fen Causeway
A 1920s link road over the Cam, built to take traffic off Silver Street and crossing Sheep's Green and Coe Fen.
Free School Lane
A historic lane of University science buildings, named after the free school endowed by Dr Stephen Perse.
Gonville Place
A stretch of the inner ring road facing Parker's Piece, with Parkside Pools and the cricket ground at Fenner's behind.
Grange Road
A near-mile-long north-south road of 17th-century origin, lined with colleges, a rugby ground and the University Library.
Green Street
A short central shopping street, mostly owned by Trinity College.
Guildhall Street
A short street beside the Guildhall, once the home of the town's meat market.
Hills Road
The A1307 route south-east from Lensfield Road, lined with schools, the Botanic Garden, restaurants and the war memorial.
Histon Road
An arterial B1049 road running north from the Victoria Road junction towards the A14 and Impington.
Huntingdon Road
The A1307 north-west out of Cambridge, following a Roman route, with Girton and Murray Edwards on its way.
Jesus Lane
An ancient route to a medieval nunnery, now lined with colleges, theological houses and a Victorian church.
King Street
A street of pubs and restaurants running east from Sidney Sussex College, once synonymous with a student pub crawl.
King's Parade
King's Parade, with King's College Chapel on one side and the University Church on the other.
Lensfield Road

Madingley Road

Market Hill
The market square at the middle of Cambridge, a trading place since Saxon times.
Market Street
A shopping street running from Market Hill to Sidney Street, with Holy Trinity Church at its eastern end.
Mill Road
Cambridge's long east-side street of independent shops, churches, a mosque and a winter fair.
Newmarket Road
The A1134 and A1303 route east from the ring road, passing the Leper Chapel, the Abbey Stadium and the city cemetery.
Northampton Street
A street on the ring road north of the Backs, with Kettle's Yard, the Museum of Cambridge and St John's College nearby.
Peas Hill
A short street between Market Hill and Wheeler Street with a 'Cradle of the Reformation' church and the Arts Theatre.
Pembroke Street
A street along the north side of Pembroke College, with the Caroe Bridge screen and the University's New Museums Site opposite.
Petty Cury
A pedestrian shopping street with a name that goes back to the medieval cooks' row.
Queen's Road
A major road west of the centre running along the Backs, with the site of early Newnham College on it.
Regent Street
The main south-eastern approach to the centre, beside Downing College and Parker's Piece.
Sedley Taylor Road
A short residential road in west Cambridge, built on Trinity College land and named after one of its professors.
Senate House Passage
A pedestrian passage beside the Senate House linking the end of Trinity Lane back to Trinity Street.
Sidgwick Avenue
An east-west avenue named for Henry and Eleanor Sidgwick, flanked by Newnham, Ridley Hall, Selwyn and the Sidgwick Site.
Sidney Street
A main shopping street, with Sidney Sussex College on one side and a Waterhouse bank building on the other.
Silver Street
A street crossing the River Cam by Silver Street Bridge, between Queen's Road and Trumpington Street.
St Andrew's Street
A major street running past Christ's and Emmanuel Colleges, with big shops and a branch of Hobson's Conduit.
St John's Street
The north end of the great college street, under the tower of St John's.
St Mary's Street
A historic street between King's Parade and Market Hill, named after the University Church.
Station Road
A short road from Hills Road to the railway station, once home to Foster's Mill, with CB1 offices at the eastern end.
Storey's Way
A largely residential road west of the centre with two college entrances, a conservation area and a charity's long history.
Sussex Street
A pedestrianised neo-Georgian shopping street built for Sidney Sussex College between 1928 and 1939.
Tennis Court Road
A historic street running south from Pembroke Street past University departments and the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
Trinity Lane
A little-changed lane running between colleges from Trinity Street towards the river.
