Earl of Derby
A Hills Road pub with en-suite rooms, known for its full English breakfast.
The Earl of Derby stands at 129 Hills Road, on the main route between Cambridge station and the city centre. It is both a pub and a bed and breakfast,
Pub and breakfast
The pub says it is famous for its substantial full English breakfast, served daily from 7:30 in the morning, with food available through the day alongside supper and pub-grub menus. The bar holds cask ales, premium lagers, wines and spirits, with cocktail pitchers on offer. A beer garden and a covered, heated smoking area provide outdoor space. Four television screens follow the day's sport, and the pub says it tries to show as many tournaments and matches as it can; ask ahead if there is something you want to watch.
Rooms
Accommodation is on site: twelve large en-suite rooms and four further en-suite rooms with showers. Rooms come with toiletries, tea and coffee facilities and free wifi, and the choice of full or continental breakfast costs extra. Rooms can be converted into family rooms with extra beds, and cots are available on request. Free off-road parking is a draw for guests arriving by car.
