A McMullen burger-and-cocktail bar in a former building society branch.
Cambridge Tap trades at 32 St Andrew's Street, in premises that formerly served as a Cambridge Building Society office. The pub company's own page describes the building as a former bank. It has been part of the McMullen estate since 2021, and it opened to the public on 2 December 2021.
Food and drink
Burgers lead the menu, served in a brioche bun, alongside dirty fries, wings, small plates and sharing dishes. Cocktails are made to order throughout the week, and the bar stocks wines, world and craft beers and a wide range of spirits. Two handpumps dispense McMullen cask ale, added in February 2023. The kitchen serves from 12:00 to 21:00 every day.
Upstairs
A second bar on the first floor looks over Emmanuel College and can be hired for groups, meetings or parties. McMullen's page offers festive buffet packages for group bookings in the run-up to Christmas.
Practical notes
The bar opens at noon daily. It closes at midnight from Sunday to Thursday and at 01:00 on Friday and Saturday.
