The Blue Moon is at 2 Norfolk Street. Its name nods to the Cambridge Blue: since November 2013 it has been run alongside The Cambridge Blue as a sister venue. Before that it traded as Man on the Moon. In 2022 CAMRA's Cambridge & District branch gave it the Young Members' Pub of the Year award.

Drinks and food

The pub offers a rotating trio of cask beers from small breweries, plus as many as twenty craft keg lines. A local cider is poured by handpump. Gin fans have over ninety bottles to choose from, and rums are also stocked. Pizza comes from Carmen's Pizzas, which operates the kitchen.

The rooms

Two bars face each other across the building. Pictures of lost Cambridge pubs hang in the lighter front room; the bigger room behind hosts events. Outside, on ground that was once a car park, you will find bright tables and flower tubs.

What's on

On the first Thursday of the month taps are handed to a guest brewery. Wednesday is quiz night, the second Tuesday brings comedy and the last Thursday has open mic. Most live music falls at weekends.

Practical notes

Weekday lunchtimes are closed, but the doors stay open late into the evening. The bar can be reached without steps, though the toilet is not step-free or accessible, and payment is by card only. No official website was found, so opening hours are not listed.
