The House is a Thai restaurant at 106 Regent Street. It presents itself as the home of authentic Thai food in Cambridge and says it is run as a family restaurant. The group has a second branch in Norwich, and the website refers to selecting from a larger collection of dishes across all its restaurants.

Menus

There are several ways to eat. A special lunch menu includes starters and main dishes, both noodle and rice, along with a "Business Lunch" of two courses priced from 9.95 pounds. There is also an a la carte menu, plus set menus named after Thai places: Chiang Mai, Huo Hin, Ayutaya and Bangkok, as well as a Thailand set menu. The restaurant says it has considered customers with nut or wheat allergies and asks them to speak to staff.

It also advertises a 10 per cent discount on takeaway and delivery orders, and a functional catering service.

Practical notes

The restaurant's website does not publish a weekly timetable, so check before travelling. Its location on Regent Street puts it within walking distance of Parker's Piece and the central colleges.
