Catte Latte
A rescue cat cafe on Mill Road, visited by booked one-hour session.
Catte Latte is a cat cafe at 184 Mill Road, on the long Mill Road shopping street east of the centre. Its stated idea is to give rescue cats a safe home while offering people a calm place to sit with good coffee. Every cat in the cafe has come from a rescue and is looking for a second chance, and the website carries an adoption section as well as profiles of the residents.
How a visit works
Unlike a typical cafe, entry is by advance booking. The site sells one-hour sessions in hourly slots, and visitors choose their own seats from an online floor plan before paying. At the time of checking the price was 14.49 pounds per person on weekdays and 17.99 pounds at weekends, including VAT. Seats can be taken solo or in groups.
What is on the menu
The coffee is speciality coffee from Hot Numbers Cambridge, served as americano, flat white, cappuccino, latte and mocha, with optional syrups. There are also hot chocolate, matcha lattes, iced matcha and a short tea list. The sweet side is a small homemade selection that includes tiramisu in a glass jar, brownies, cookies, coffee and white chocolate biscotti and a vegan blueberry muffin. Allergens are listed beside each item.
Practical notes
The cafe is open daily from 10am to 7pm. Because sessions are booked by the hour and seating is allocated, it makes sense to reserve before turning up. A newsletter and a blog are advertised, with the blog marked as coming soon.
