Earl of Beaconsfield
A Mill Road corner pub on the edge of Romsey, reopened in January 2026.
The Earl of Beaconsfield stands on a corner at 133 Mill Road, at the point where Mill Road shifts from the shops of one district to the next. It is described as both the first and the last pub of the Romsey district, depending on your direction of travel.
Inside and out
Cambridge-themed art, old photographs and posters decorate the L-shaped bar. Behind it lies a beer garden, and beyond that a garden room with a brightly coloured mural on the wall. Further tables are set out on the pavement side. OpenStreetMap records outdoor seating and a bar of four or five real ales.
A recent reopening
After roughly fifteen months shut, the pub opened its doors again on 22 January 2026. The freehold owner is Heineken UK.
