The St Radegund is on King Street. It takes its name from Radegund, a Frankish saint linked to nearby Jesus College. The bar is a single room of a little over 20 square metres, and local belief holds it to be the smallest pub in the city. It dates from 1880.

King Street connections

The pub has long been tied to the street's pub culture. It was the starting and finishing point of the King Street Run, a pub crawl along the street, and it was home to a rowing club, a cricket team and, between 1993 and 2017, the Cantabrigensis Hash House Harriers running club. Since 1992 its cricketers have played an annual match for the King Street Trophy against the team from the Champion of the Thames.

Recent history and visiting

Recent years have brought several changes: the pub closed in 2019, reopened under new operators in March 2024, closed again in October 2024, and reopened in January 2026 with the stated aim of returning as a community hub. Because the operators have changed several times, check current opening times before travelling. Its small size means it can fill quickly in the evening.
